How to measure yourself
Ask somebody to help you with making the measurements. The easiest way would be to wear a blouse or a shirt that fits you well while taking the measures, so you can guide yourself after the seams. All the taken measures will be body measures so that we will add a certain legerity to each measure according to the size fitting you have chosen.
Take the measure in the most pronounced point directly on the skin. While measuring include the forefinger when closing the measuring tape. The measuring tape needs a minimal legerity (just enough so you can move the measuring tape a little up and down).
Measure yourself under your armpits in the most pronounced point. Stay in an upright position and stretch your arms slightly to the side. The measuring tape needs a minimal legerity (just enough so you can move the measuring tape a little up and down).
3. Sleeve length
Measure both arms from your shoulder up to the base of your thumb. Keep your hands slightly bent. If you wish to order a shirt with short sleeves measure from the shoulder up to the sleeve length you wish to have. The standard length for a long sleeve is 58 cm at the size XXS (collar size 32) and 62 cm at the size 4XL (collar size 46).
4. Upper arm
Place the measuring tape in the most pronounced point between the shoulder and your elbow (on your right hand if you are a right-hander or on your left hand if you are left-hander).
Measure your wrist above your thumb.
Measure your waist in the most pronounced point. The measuring tape needs a minimal legerity (just enough so you can move the measuring tape a little up and down).
7. Back width
Measure form shoulder to shoulder, at 2 cm under your neck. Stay relaxed while the measures are being taken.
8. Back length
Measure from the base of your collar up to the seam or up to the measure you wish for your shirt. The standard back length is 62-67 cm.
Measure your hip 18 cm under your waist or around the seam.
Measure the height of your chest from your neck up to the middle of the chest.
11. Length up to your waist
Measure the length in the front starting at the base of your neck, over the highest point of your chest and up to the waist.
12. Front length
Measure in the front from the base of your neck, over the highest point of your chest, over the waist and up to the seam.
